Russ and I are flying out of Sacramento to Mazatlan, Mexico on June 11. We will be getting our boat ready and taking it up to Puerto Penasco, which is at the top of the Sea of Cortez. When we get there, the boat will be hauled out of the water to be worked on to make sure everything is in tiptop condition. New sales will be installed, new paint will be put on the bottom, and everything else will be cleaned until it sparkles. Sometime around the end of September or early October, Jazz will go back into the water, and we will sail down the Baja side of Mexico and back to the mainland for about six months. Then, around March or April 2025 we will head off across the Pacific Ocean to the Marquesas islands.

We made it to Mazatlan, but had a few hiccups. Time and weather were not on our side. We could only get out to put the boat back together for a few hours every morning before having to go inside and turn the AC on. We missed our haul out window and therefore headed back to California. Here are a few pictures of the marina. They are now building two more high rise condos on the property and it is quite a mess on one side.
